poem

This poems is reflecting upon the authors past summers.  Where the author isn’t sure it happened but was glad that he though of it and every year it becomes more real to the author.  I beileve that this poem took place a long time ago on a farm.  That is how I see it because it is away from civilization and kids were smoking.  This was a dream summer for this author.

Fluoride

1. Why do some people disapprove of adding fluoride to drinking water?                       
2. What would your position be on adding fluoride to drinking water and why?           
3. What technological advances in toothpaste had to be made before fluoride could be widely used in toothpaste and mouthwashes?                                                                       
4. What side effects of using fluoride in drinking water are of most concern to you? Why?

I think it would be a good idea to add fluoride to water because it makes your teeth stronger and also cuts down on the decay of teeth. Although I believe in putting fluoride in water, some people object to it because there can be shortages of fluoride in some areas. Those are the people who object to it because they need it. Also, in high amounts it can turn your teeth brown. Before flouride could be widely used in toothpaste, some technological advances had to occur. Pairing stannous fluoride with calcium pyrophosphate, a compatible abrasive made it possible to put flouride in touthpaste and mouthwash. Crest launched this formula in 1955. Because of this advancement they are one of the leading selling brands. The side effect of using flouride in drinking water that is of most concern to me is that your teeth may turn brown and this is ugly.

Hello world!

I believe that this blogging is great to comunicate to people all over the world.  You are easily connected to everyone and everyone can share their ideas.  This is why I think this is called hello world because the world is no longer huge.  You can comunicate with whomever you want whenever you want.
